# Check whether Google has indexed your pages

> Use HyperGSC to inspect URL indexing, canonical and robots observations, review sitemap status, and separate stored Google data from live page checks.

Use this workflow when an important page does not seem to appear in Google or when a sitemap shows processing problems. Start with the exact URLs you want to investigate.

HyperGSC reads Google's stored inspection observations. It does not request indexing or submit sitemaps.

## Ask your AI assistant

```text theme={null}
Use HyperGSC to inspect these URLs in my selected Search Console property:
https://www.example.com/page-one
https://www.example.com/page-two
Explain the available indexing, crawl, robots, and canonical observations.
Include the observation timestamps and separate confirmed issues from
unknown or failed inspections. Also review sitemap processing if available.
Do not treat sitemap submission as proof of indexing.
```

Replace the example URLs with pages belonging to the enabled property. Use up to ten URLs for a batch. Free includes limited individual inspections; batch and sitemap reports require Starter or higher.

## Read the observations together

* **Indexing verdict:** What Google currently reports for the inspected URL.
* **Crawl and fetch observations:** Whether the stored inspection includes a retrieval problem.
* **Robots and indexing observations:** Signals that may prevent crawling or indexing.
* **Canonical observations:** Whether Google selected a different canonical URL.
* **Sitemap processing:** Whether a sitemap was processed and whether Google reports warnings or errors.

Ask the assistant to show the evidence behind each conclusion. An inspection failure is not itself evidence that the page is excluded.

## Know what needs a separate check

URL Inspection describes Google's indexed snapshot, not the page as it exists right now. A fix deployed today may not yet appear in the stored result.

If needed, read the live page separately and compare it with Google's observation. A live page check also does not prove that Google has recrawled or indexed the current version.

## Follow up on the right issue

Investigate the specific canonical, robots, fetch, or sitemap observation before changing unrelated settings. After applying a fix, inspect again when Google has had a chance to revisit the page.

For sitemap submission or an indexing request, use the appropriate Google interface directly. HyperGSC's Search Console connection remains read-only.

See [URL inspection tools](https://docs.hypergsc.com/mcp/url-inspection.md) for examples and [troubleshooting](https://docs.hypergsc.com/troubleshooting.md) if a URL falls outside the selected property.
